  • Statistics Advanced Placement is an introductory college-level statistics course that introduces students to the major concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data with applications to the real world. Students cultivate their understanding of statistics using technology, investigations, problem solving, and writing as they explore concepts like variation and distribution; patterns and uncertainty; and data-based predictions, decisions, and conclusions.
    A TI-83/84 calculator is required for this course. Participation in the Advanced Placement examination for a possibility of 3 hours college credit is advised. 

    Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be learn to read, draw, build models, analyze, and/or evaluate the following:

    • The Normal Curve
    • Regression
    • Probability
    • Statistical Inference
    • Confidence Intervals
    • Hypothesis Tests
