Supporting Document Component

  • AP Microeconomics Virtual is an online class taught through LISD's Virtual Learning Academy. Please read through the entire description. This college-level course, designed to prepare students for the Advanced Placement exam, focuses on the individual decision makers within the larger economic system. The nature and function of both product and factor markets and the role of government in promoting greater efficiency and equity form the basis of the course. This course fulfills the graduation requirement in economics. *Juniors should complete U.S. History prior to taking this course. Only graduating juniors and seniors can select this course during registration. Other juniors who would like to enroll will be scheduled as space allows after the school year begins. While instruction and content are delivered over the internet, students do have opportunities to meet with their instructor for personalized instruction using video conferencing and periodic face to face by appointment. Flexibility of the course allows for inside and outside the school day scheduling. Students do not have to be physically present on campus to take an online course. While there is flexibility in the time of day you work on your classes, they are NOT self-paced.
  • No documents to display.
  • For students with an IEP/504 Plan, we provide accommodations listed to meet student needs. Many accommodations are built into our courses (extended time on assignments, flexible exam setting). Accommodations that are not already built into the course may still be met through individualizing the presentation, providing guided notes, live teaching/tutorial sessions, phone contact, and one-on-one conversations.
